Engaged to Alison

As most of you probably already know, we just recently got engaged with Alison, and are now making plans for the wedding to be held in Wales, sometime during April or May next year. Here's a couple of photos of us and the engagement rings, you can see the rest of the photos here on my flickr page. For anyone wondering about the rings, we did it Finglish style ;) Explanation: The woman gets the diamond ring (English tradition), and the man also gets an engagement ring (Finnish tradition), therefore we combined the two and started the Finglish style tradition.

The Flower

All flesh is grass, and all its beauty
is like the flower of the field.

The grass withers, the flower fades
when the breath of the Lord blows on it;
surely the people are grass.

The grass withers, the flower fades,
but the word of our God will stand forever.

(Isaiah 40:6b-8, ESV)

Street Evangelism

Street Evangelism

This is a group of teenagers that I had the privilege to share the gospel with yesterday. They listened to what I had to say, especially the girls were very eager to hear the whole message, I think the boys also listened even though they wanted to act tough and started burning some of the million euro tracts that I gave them. I also had many other good conversations with different people. Pray that they might turn away from their sin and trust in Christ.

New Camera, Lenses and Photos

This week I got a new camera and some lenses, which I'm very excited and thankful about. The camera is the Canon 7D, and the two lenses I got are the Canon Zoom Lens EF-S 18-200mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS and Canon Macro Lens EF-S 60mm 1:2.8 USM.

I really like the camera and both of the lenses. The camera also records some amazing Full HD video, so I'll be posting some videos also in the near future. Here's some of the macro photos I took on Friday, while testing the camera.

Trip to Graz

It's been a while since my last post, considering that my purpose was to blog at least once every week. I have been a bit more busy lately and also not so motivated to update the blog. Anyway, now for the post itself.

Last week I was in Graz, Austria, with my classmates on our field trip from school. We went there for the Europrix Multimedia Awards. I really enjoyed the whole trip. The city was beautiful and it was also very nice to spend some time with my fellow students. I took a lot of photos (almost 300) during the trip and I've now posted the best (87) on my flickr page. So click here if you're interested to see them, here's also a couple:

One part of our school assignment in Graz was to interview one of the nominees at the awards. I interviewed Stefan Wasserbauer, the developer of an iPhone application called zapDial. In case you're interested in knowing how the interview went, you can watch it here:
